FIT, private groups and incentive travel
Arrange a private ring session for individual travellers and small groups, or a mat programme for a larger party. Share your guest profile and objectives, from family cultural discovery to corporate participation or a specialist sports visit.
A proposal with the details you need
We discuss the venue, instructor team, language support, programme, timing and participation arrangements before confirmation. All commercial terms are provided privately. You can request partner arrangements and a sales kit.
- City, date and alternative dates
- Number of adults and children, with ages for everyone under 18
- Tour leader and interpreter attendance; whether they participate
- Language, clothing and access requirements, plus any meal arrangements that affect your itinerary
- Arrival and departure plans, requested duration and privacy needs
- Preferred instructor background, photography plans and any training goals
Group size and format
The real ring is recommended for small parties of up to 20. The standard mat format is 10–30 guests. Other sizes, including large groups up to 200, require individual venue and staffing arrangements. A mat session can include demonstrations, rules, belt fitting, movements, supervised bouts, rituals, Q&A and photographs.
Staffing and guest communication
The standard arrangement is one or two sumo instructors plus an interpreter who also leads introductions. Staffing adjusts to group size; a larger group may use three or more instructors. English and Japanese enquiry support are available. Additional language requirements should be discussed before confirmation.
Booking and commercial arrangements
Request a private session at least two weeks ahead. We review your request, prepare a proposal, agree the booking conditions and issue an invoice. Advance payment is accepted by bank transfer or credit card via Stripe. Each booking is subject to availability. For repeat business, we can discuss an ongoing partner agreement and renewal terms.
Cancellation, safety and documentation
Cancellation and payment conditions are supplied with the proposal and should be reviewed before confirming. Dates are interpreted in Japan time. We can provide insurance information and participation documents for your review. Insurance is subject to policy terms and does not mean every injury or loss is covered.
Referral partners
Hotels, guides, publishers and travel partners can request a referral link. Your referral code is recorded with the guest’s enquiry, and our team can update the record when a booking is confirmed. We agree referral terms, commission eligibility and how bookings are attributed with each partner.
