Start with ages and expectations

Children aged two and above can be considered for the programme, with age four and above recommended. Children aged twelve and under require a guardian. Share every child’s age at the enquiry stage and ask how the guardian should take part in the booking. The team will help you choose activities suited to your children’s ages, interests and comfort.

Tell us about your family

Explain whether your children are curious observers, enthusiastic participants or unsure about meeting an instructor in a new setting. Include the adults’ interests too. Ask how participation is introduced, whether an observing family member can be accommodated and what happens if someone wants to pause. The session lasts approximately ninety minutes, so clarify the format and any practical needs before adding it to a busy day. A child’s interests and confidence matter alongside their age.

Make the day easy to understand

Before the visit, share the confirmed arrival instructions, clothing guidance and what the organiser has said about the experience. Ask about changing arrangements and the facilities your family needs. Private bookings are recommended at least two weeks in advance, giving time to discuss these details. Present the session to children as an opportunity to learn and ask questions. Let the instructor guide the activities, and check any special requests before sharing the plan with your children.
