Locate your Osaka session

The Osaka location is KG Building, 14-13 Ishigatsujicho, Tennoji. Programme information describes it as about eight minutes by train from Namba. Treat that train time as one part of the journey: reaching the station, waiting, walking and finding the meeting point also take time. Confirm the exact arrival instructions with the booking, then plan from your accommodation or previous activity instead of relying on a district name alone.

Separate training from tournament plans

Osaka hosts the March professional Grand Sumo tournament, according to the Japan Sumo Association calendar. A private training session is a different arrangement, and its availability should be checked directly for your dates. Do not assume that the private programme includes tournament attendance or follows the tournament timetable. If both interest you, keep the two plans separate until dates, locations and inclusions have been confirmed for each part of the visit.

Tell us about your group

Allow approximately ninety minutes for the programme and ask about arrival, changing and departure arrangements. Give the organiser your group size, preferred date, alternatives and the kind of participation you want. Private bookings are recommended at least two weeks ahead. Include children’s ages and requests for interpretation, observation or particular instructor experience in the initial message. This helps the organiser propose a suitable format, rather than leaving important expectations to be resolved after your Osaka itinerary is already fixed.
